Can't Get Enough of the Beach

Sitting in the hole we were digging.

Nice calm waves for the kids to play in.

Playing in the Backyard

I couldn't get a straight face out of Eva.

We only have to mow a certain distance out from our back patio and the community people are supposed to mow down the middle of the houses. They haven't mowed in a few weeks, so we have grasslands growing back there. The kids would hide in it, then pretend to be lions and pounce on us. It was really cute.

We ran out of clothes for William, so while we were washing the rest he got to wear his swimsuit and an aloha shirt. Can't get more Hawaiian than that.

Learning to ride the scooter.

Elizabeth's First Loose Tooth

Elizabeth has been having a lot of firsts lately, including losing her first baby tooth. I thought her starting Kindergarten was bad, but when her first tooth fell out it really struck me how much she has grown. It feels like yesterday that I was waiting patiently for her first stubborn tooth to finally break through. Now it's gone. Enough sentimental. Elizabeth was ecstatic about it all. She was almost as excited as she is on Christmas Eve. She couldn't wait to put the tooth under her pillow for the tooth fairy. She kept telling Eva that they had to go to sleep so the tooth fairy could come. She was even willing to turn off the night light, so the tooth fairy wouldn't  be scared off by the light. Eva wasn't to keen on that idea. I had to reassure her that the tooth fairy doesn't mind night lights.

It's taken a while to get used to having a hole in her teeth, but I think we've all adjusted.

William

I found William sitting on the entertainment center next to the Television with my IPod. Silly boy!

Elizabeth's First Sick Day.

A couple of weeks ago Elizabeth had a fever, so she got to stay home from school. She relaxed and rested and was able to go back the next day.

You can tell she is sick when she has a blanket on all day in upper 80 degree weather in a house with no air conditioning. She still mustered a smile for me, though.
