First Day of School

Elizabeth started kindergarten this year. People say time flies and it sure does. I can hardly believe my baby is old enough to go to school. She has really enjoyed it so far, and tells us all about it when she gets home. I am very proud of how she is handling it all. Love her!

I can't get this girl to give me normal smile. I guess I need to practice smiling for the camera with her.

Elizabeth's Hair

Elizabeth has been asking me for months to let her get a haircut. I kept putting it off because I love her long hair, but she finally convinced me to let her cut her hair before school started. We had to come to a compromise because she wanted it short and I wanted it long enough to still pull up. It turned out really cute, although every once and a while I miss her long locks.

Waimea Valley and the Beach

On one of Lance's recent days off we headed up to the North Shore for an easy hike as a family. We decided to hike the Waimea Valley that ends with a waterfall and small lake you can swim in. We chose this "hike" because it is extremely kid friendly. It is only 3/4 of a mile and is paved the whole way to the falls so we could push a stroller. There are also lots of plants and beautiful scenery to stop and look at as well as some historical sights. We had fun and the girls walked the whole way.

After our hike we wanted to go to Waimea beach at the bottom of the valley, but all the parking was full so we headed down the coast and found a nice beach to play on. I wish I would have written down the name of it because I would like to go there again, but I can't remember what it was called.

Ahhhh... the view.

Eating sand. He will not stop! I had to keep my eye on him the whole time. The next day he had so much sand in his poop. Talk about exfoliating your colon.

Oh, William...

This boy! Every time I turn around he is into something new, making a mess, or doing something dangerous. He is a handful, but I sure love him and he is cute while he does it as well.

Keiki Days

Our housing complex put together Keiki Days a few weeks ago. (Keiki is the Hawaiian word for children/child.) They rented a bunch of those bouncy houses/slides (water themed of course) and invited the neighborhood to enjoy. The kids had a lot of fun, especially Elizabeth. Eva was scared of most of it , but did enjoy some of it. William was to little for almost all of it, but he found a nice puddle from all the water run off that he really enjoyed.

The puddle

Eva loved the puddle, too.

Elizabeth loved this slide. It was huge and really steep, but she kept going on it. Unfortunately this girls head popped up right as I was taking the picture. Elizabeth is the one going down the slide.
