Rainy Day at the Beach

We promised the girls we could go to the beach and the very day we promised it poured rain. Elizabeth and Eva begged to still be able to go, so we thought we'd give it a try. We waited in the car for a few minutes and it started to lighten up. We decided to give it a go and played away. It was still plenty warm and the sun did finally peak through while we were there. It was  a lot of fun, but after this little trip all of us were sick for 3 weeks, so maybe it wasn't such a good idea after all.

Rainy view of Honolulu

Showing me the shell he found.

Standing on the body board with the help of daddy.

Eva wanted to try, too.

The sun finally coming out.

He loves all the things he finds on the beach. This is a piece of coral.

Washing the Car with Daddy

Eva and William sure had fun washing the car with daddy while Elizabeth was at school.

Well... William had fun until this happened. At least it was only dish soap and water.

Silly Boy!

William is up to his usual antics. He kept putting his fingers in his nose and thought it was hilarious when I would tell him to take them out, making him keep doing it over and over.

The other day William ran through the room with a baby doll saying "diapah, daipah". I thought how cute it was that he was going to pretend to change the babies diaper. A few minutes later I found this...

He sure changed her diaper really well. I don't think she is going to have any problems with diaper rash.

Halloween

I love my little Vampire, Ariel, and Frankenstein's monster.

Eva insisted on singing in every picture because that is what Ariel does.

William was more interested in riding his bike than posing for pictures.

Can't Get Enough of the Beach

Sitting in the hole we were digging.

Nice calm waves for the kids to play in.

Playing in the Backyard

I couldn't get a straight face out of Eva.

We only have to mow a certain distance out from our back patio and the community people are supposed to mow down the middle of the houses. They haven't mowed in a few weeks, so we have grasslands growing back there. The kids would hide in it, then pretend to be lions and pounce on us. It was really cute.

We ran out of clothes for William, so while we were washing the rest he got to wear his swimsuit and an aloha shirt. Can't get more Hawaiian than that.

Learning to ride the scooter.

Elizabeth's First Loose Tooth

Elizabeth has been having a lot of firsts lately, including losing her first baby tooth. I thought her starting Kindergarten was bad, but when her first tooth fell out it really struck me how much she has grown. It feels like yesterday that I was waiting patiently for her first stubborn tooth to finally break through. Now it's gone. Enough sentimental. Elizabeth was ecstatic about it all. She was almost as excited as she is on Christmas Eve. She couldn't wait to put the tooth under her pillow for the tooth fairy. She kept telling Eva that they had to go to sleep so the tooth fairy could come. She was even willing to turn off the night light, so the tooth fairy wouldn't  be scared off by the light. Eva wasn't to keen on that idea. I had to reassure her that the tooth fairy doesn't mind night lights.

It's taken a while to get used to having a hole in her teeth, but I think we've all adjusted.

William

I found William sitting on the entertainment center next to the Television with my IPod. Silly boy!

Elizabeth's First Sick Day.

A couple of weeks ago Elizabeth had a fever, so she got to stay home from school. She relaxed and rested and was able to go back the next day.

You can tell she is sick when she has a blanket on all day in upper 80 degree weather in a house with no air conditioning. She still mustered a smile for me, though.

First Day of School

Elizabeth started kindergarten this year. People say time flies and it sure does. I can hardly believe my baby is old enough to go to school. She has really enjoyed it so far, and tells us all about it when she gets home. I am very proud of how she is handling it all. Love her!

I can't get this girl to give me normal smile. I guess I need to practice smiling for the camera with her.

Elizabeth's Hair

Elizabeth has been asking me for months to let her get a haircut. I kept putting it off because I love her long hair, but she finally convinced me to let her cut her hair before school started. We had to come to a compromise because she wanted it short and I wanted it long enough to still pull up. It turned out really cute, although every once and a while I miss her long locks.
